I am aiming to compile a charity book of photos of The Alarm to raise funds for The Love Hope Strength Foundation. I would like fans of the band to send me a photo, along with a brief description of the photo and what the band means to them. This will be very a much book that will be collectively created by all of us.
It will be a book that will hopefully look back on the band in all its shapes and forms, as well as the inspiration it has given to so many of us. This is very much a blank canvas, so the photo can be whatever resonates with you. I don't want to put too many rules in place, as photo are extremely subjctive, both in terms of what we like and how we interpret them. There must be a wealth of wonderful memories and photos from the last 35+ years out there, so it should be fascinating to see what turns up.
One thing I would point out is that if you want to use a photo that has other people / fans in it, they will need to give their permission for the photo to be used. Not everyone might feel happy about being included in the book.
So what I want from you is a photo and a few lines of text. The photo and text will have to fit on a single page in the book, so no long essays please just a short paragraph. The photos will need to be high resolution, so that they will print to an acceptable standard. If I get enough interest, and proceed with the book, I am hoping to publish it in both digital and physical formats.
